Aled and Stephen are no newcomers to transforming people’s homes with beautiful furniture solutions, as they are the duo behind successful Northern Beaches residential custom joinery firm Creative Space Construction.
Their unique blend of inspirational design, quality workmanship and outstanding customer service has made them highly sought after by homeowners, landlords, designers, builders and architects, for custom-made furniture and full house renovations all over Sydney.
Through working with their clients, they saw a gap in the market for stylish, high quality, free-standing furniture that provided the same workmanship and individuality of custom joinery, but without the expensive price tag, and without all the hassle.
Stephen explains, “Having your furniture custom-made is expensive, and besides that, not everyone wants all the furniture in their home to be fitted. People like flexibility so that they can reconfigure a room if they want to, or take their furniture with them if they move. We have seen so many people get beautiful built-in wardrobes for their bedroom, but were struggling to find a good quality, affordable tallboy that fitted the space they had perfectly, that didn’t require self-assembly, and that wouldn’t succumb to the dreaded drawer collapse.
Our customers started asking if we could help them. So we started building tallboys with the same workmanship and quality that we put into our fitted furniture. It all spiralled from there, and before long we were making entertainment units and home office furniture too.”
When developing the concept of Northern Beaches Furniture, as well as creating affordable, beautiful furniture, they also wanted to eliminate as much as possible the things that make buying furniture such hard work.
